Parent Association Golf Classic Fundraiser
The Golf Classic, organised by Ballymurray Parents Association took place on May 6th and was a great success, raising over €17,000. We would like to thank everyone that was involved in organising the event, the sponsors and for everyone who took part or bought tickets. These funds will be of great use to the school. Reminder that our school Go Fund Me page is still up and running. Any help in that area is greatly appreciated.
Sacraments
First Holy Communion took place last Saturday in Knockcroghery. All the boys and girls did an amazing job at the ceremony and it was great to see so many friends and family from the community come out to support the children in receiving this sacrament. The sun even showed up too!! :)
A special thanks to parents, Fr. Milton, Fr. Ali Joe, Ms. Beattie and all the other members of staff who guided and supported the children over the past few months in preparation for this special day. A fantastic day was had by all.

Green Schools Action Day
Our Green Schools Day of Action took place on Thursday 23rd of March. The children have been heavily involved in creating a range of improvements around the school, to support biodiversity. From building wooden bird boxes, planting and growing native flowers to attract pollinators, creating a sensory herb garden and even building a bug hotel and log pile lodge. It has been a very enjoyable journey and we are looking forward to seeing the results over the coming weeks and months .Congratulations to Aoife in 4th, who won the overall poster competition. The standard this year was extremely high. We hope to successfully achieve our fifth Green Schools flag after all our hard work. Thanks to all the pupils, teachers and especially our hard working Green Schools Committee, seen below.
