Parents' Association
Ballymurray NS. Parents’ Association work together to find ways to bring the community together to support their children’s learning in school. Our Parents’ Association are being supported by the National Parents’ Council. Meetings take place the first Thursday of every month.
Are you interested in being part of a Parents’ Association at Ballymurray N.S and have the opportunity to meet other parents and carers? Are you interested in getting involved and helping out with the host of events that take place during the school year.?
We are looking for more volunteers. Why not come along and find out how you can get involved. If you’re not available during the day you can still get involved? If you have any ideas or offers of help but cannot come to meetings, please send a note or email with your details or contact our Chairperson of Parents Association - these details can be obtained from the school secretary or the Principal.
Information about meetings or events are published in the newsletter or on the school website on a regular basis.
Halloween Walk 2024
Once again, our walk proved to be a tremendous success. I’d like to thank the Parents’ Association and everyone involved for their dedication to this event. The organisation and preparation involved is clearly reflected in the quality of the event. The total raised prior to expenses was €8,179.02. The money raised will be used as a contribution towards outstanding amounts owed on the school car park and other building expenses. In addition, money will be used to purchase concrete maths resources to be used in classrooms as part of the introduction of the New Primary Maths Curriculum. Some further items will also hopefully be introduced to the yard space including two picnic benches and wooden bench on the pitch. The Parents’ Association also kindly organised some musical entertainment for all the children prior to the Christmas holidays
